This is true, however once the bolt is fitted it is OK to remove the
bolt (provided it is a bolt action rifle) to clean the rifle (only 
proper way) or for security purposes as often as you wish.  The fitting
is of the boltface to the barrel to obtain proper headspace (important
for safety and accuracy)

The point that I wanted to make is that someone could
break into your car and take your gun parts or steal your
car.  Then what do you do with your guns?

Also, cars do not provide a very hospitable
climate for steel parts, especially in the winter.
(This doesn't apply if you live in the Mojave 
Desert.)
