Article: 1:9 I'm thinking of buying a 9mm semi-auto and would appreciate comments from owners/users of any of the following pistols: (the purpose is home/self-defense and related training - thus safety and dependability are of paramount importance.) 1. Sig-Sauer 226 2. Beretta 92 SB 3. H. & K. P9S and 4. the Glock (17?) If money were no object, I gather that the above order would be an acceptable ranking for my purpose. I've used only the Beretta and the Glock so far and liked them both, with perhaps a slight preference for the feel of the Beretta. However, the Glock is significantly cheaper and I hear it touted as the most revolutionary development in semi-autos in this century. Its `foolproof' safety and double-action-like trigger pull for all shots are also attractive. Any others that you would recommend in 9mm semi-autos? Many thanks, Inder

Article: 1:21 The S-S P226 shoots very nice, and was highly recommended by a SDPD cop, ex-SWAT. The SDPD can carry the Beretta 92F but not the 92SB, which has the magazine release on the bottom (bad in combat shooting). I think the choice between a P226 and 92F is personal preference (particularly the S-S's lack of a safety) and price. Both are considered very reliable, accurate guns with 15-round magazines. When I looked into buying a gift for a would-be police officer, I chose the 226, because of a special price and it's slightly more concealable. It's worked out quite well.

Article: 1:25 I disagree with your ordering of 9mm pistols. The H&K P7 (P7, P7M8, P7M13) are the finest pistols money can buy. I've been shooting one (early straight P7) for four years without problems. The gun is not cheap, it'll run damn near $600-$650, but its worth it. Ask around at gun stores. Seth

Article: 1:45 Try a Taurus 9mm M92. It is designed after the Berretta with a life-time warranty and a much lower price tag.
