A little consumer activism: I ordered an HK 91 magazine release and buffer from Cherokee Gun Accessories in Freemont, CA, on November 21. In spite of my writing to the president of the company on January 7, I still do not have the merchandise or even a post card with an estimated delivery date. This is not the first time that Cherokee has not sent the good within the 30-day time limit established by the Federal Trade Commission. In 1982, I waited 6 weeks before threatening to contact the Postal Inspector. The threat got me delivery. This time, I was nice and did not mention the PI. Too bad for Cherokee, because now I am filing a formal complaint with the Postal Inspector. I am really angry with supply outfits who seem to take advantage of the unspoken "code" that gun owners should never complain to the "authorities" when they get cheated. Has anyone else had trouble with Cherokee?
