[flame off] First some technical comments: I have yet to see any modern semi-auto pistol that has "No safety". Perhaps you mean no manual safety? Or, maybe I'm wrong... You also forgot the FIE imported TZ-75, as well as the Czech CZ-75. The former is a non-ComBlok copy of the latter. You do occasionally see a CZ-75 for sale, as a block of them were imported recently. I saw one for $550 recently and it seems like an excellent firearm. Chairmen Jeff of course rated it highly enough to use many of its' design features in his Bren Ten. I own an FIE TZ-75 (older model), and like it. It is all steel, has a European dark blue, holds 15 rounds, is double action, and has decent sights. It also has a stainless bbl. and is very reliable, EXCEPT: both I and a friend had several problems which required a gunsmiths attention, my front sight (which is staked with a single rivet) came loose and had to be silver-soldered for permanence, and my freinds' guns' safety broke and had to be fixed. It still is a good value as we only payed $198 for the guns (plus 10%, shipping, etc..) Regarding the Beretta compact model. Rumor has it that no new shipments of these will be done for 2 years, due to military and police demands for the weapon. Sounds like a good chance for scalping, er, investment. Now some political comments. Jordan Hubbard has already flamed on the "Hijacking" comments in. re. the Glock. As a frequent traveler I can state that most airport bozos couldn't spot an UZI on the X-ray machine. The only use the Glock has for defeating security is to pass through the metal detector, and that is always a crapshoot anyways. Besides, the ammo is still metal, as is the bbl., rails, part of the magazine and firing mechanism. Keep in mind that Hijackers have better ways of getting weapons through the airports (like having the airport workers load the planes). Also keep in mind that the metal detectors have limits of detection. **Usually**, anything at below ankle level or above head level is beyond detection. In a publicized test in Seattle two off- duty policeman went through a metal detector with two grenade bodys taped to their ankles. When I went through Houston airport wearing a hat I was asked to take it off, and give it to the checker, who thoroughly examined it (guess I look suspicious). Finally, any intelligent person could smuggle a bomb through the X ray machines via a variety of means. I won't detail them there, but it is not difficult. The Glock does have other uses besides smuggling. Its' light weight would be a definite boon to anyone carrying it for any period of time for instance. Lastly, regarding foreign guns. I can understand where you are coming from here. I don't like buying foreign cars, but I do buy foreign guns. For years the Reds have been only to happy to use our funding against us, and I am only too happy to do the same to them. Having an AKM around the house could one day be useful, and the same goes for the CZ-75. On a more realistic note, the amount of ComBlok guns imported into the US is so small it won't be lining many Russian/Chinese pockets. Good Shooting, Robert Allen, robert@spam.istc.sri.com

Feels, handles and shoots very well. There is an optional .41 barrel for the gun but I don't know where to find ammunition for it. My only complaint is that the gun is too large to conceal easily.
