[mod.rec.guns] reloading advise request

I want to start reloading 38 special shells. I plan on getting one of
those Lee turret reloading presses. The only question I have
is about measuring the powder charge. Is one of those powder measuring
spoons accurate enough for practice rounds? Where can I get the size I
need and should I buy a scale to accurately double check the amount of
powder? I'm looking for a cheap way out but there may not be one.

DON'T GO CHEAP!!!! You should get an accurate scale! Remember, SAFETY is
the primary issue here....after all you don't want to accidentally load too
little powder in a shell to find later the bullet gets stuck in your barrel!
SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
