By competing against itself, Coke has now set itself up like GM.
I.E., Chevy competing against Buick competing against Pontiac competing
against Oldsmobile.

If it were GM vs Ford vs Chrysler, GM would (everything else being equal)
have a one third chance.  But put {Chevy && Buick && Olds && Pontiac}
against {Ford && Mercury} and {Dodge && Plymouth}.  The odds now become
4 out of 8 == 50%. Coke vs. Pepsi was 50% (ignoring the others). Two
Cokes vs. Pepsi is 67%.

Perhaps this is what Coke had in mind all along.
