I just got a letter from CC. It was apparently in response to my original complaints to them over a month ago about New Coke. Given recent events, it's quite amusing. It contains a Q&A folder and insert promoting the New Coke, describing how the New Coke was created (market tests, taste tests, etc.) and why the Old Coke was being discontinued. It was all obviously prepared well before the Classic Coke announcement. Might be something of a collector's item. They also included a coupon good for a free 6 or 8 can pack of Coke. It didn't seem clear whether it could be used for Classic instead of New, so I called up Coke to ask. They claim that officially it's only good for the New Coke--though they admit that some "dippy" checkout people may not realize the difference. --Lauren--
