A friend from the middle east told me that the Coke sold in other parts the
world is sweeter than the Coke sold in the USA. Does anybody know anything
about this?

Apparently, some people up here (probably Gay Mullins - Old Coke Drinkers) were planning to import the stuff. Of course, there is no need for that anymore. Up here in Canada the formula for regular Coke has always been a bit sweeter that its U.S. counterpart.
