[net.misc.coke] Things go better with love

It appears that our favorite soft drink manufacturer has stooped to a new
low. The following is reprinted without permission from the the New York
Daily News:

****************************************************************************

The new Coke is sweeter than the "classic", but the Coca-Cola company went
sour when it fired Amanda Blake, an employee at its bottling plant in
Northampton, Mass., because her co-worker-fiance quit and signed up with
arch rival Pepsi-Cola. She has filed a $600,000 lawsuit against Coke, and
it's a good case. Coke and Pepsi *are* at war in the soda pop business, but
it's all wrong to draw these kinds of battle lines. Love is still what
makes the world go around.

Be serious?!! Are you sure that this isn't an NBC soap opera plot?
Isn't Amanda Blake (and ***** Carrington) on some dreck like 'Days of
Our Lives'? 'Twouldn't suprise me at all what depth network writers will
dredge up scum.
