[net.ham-radio.packet] TNC SOFTWARE

ars@burl.UUCP (ars) (09/05/85)

I purchased some surplus STD BUS development systems from the
company I work for a couple of years ago. Included, among other
things, are a Z-80 CPU board, 2 Serial interface ports, 2 parallel
ports, and several memory boards which can contain EPROMS or SRAMS.

I think these units could readily used as a terminal node
controller for packet radio. I know that several of these units
were purchased by members of AMRAD and am wandering if anyone has
already written the software to accomplish this.

If not is there anyone that could provide me any guidance. I
understand that the TAPR TNC-2 uses a Z-80 and was wandering if the
software for this unit, if available, could be modified to operate
with this system.
