Could someone please tell me where I can find more information on packet radio? I'd like to build up my own TNC, but I don't know all the details of how information is exchanged. I have found out (although I may be wrong) that the modulation is Bell 202 (1200 bps 1200/2200 Hz), and that data is encoded using NRZI in SDLC frames. (Am I right so far?) I also have a document on level 2 AX.25 standard, but its 3 years old and I wonder about it's accuracy. Any pointers to documentation or help with setting up a station would be greatly appreciated. I have heard about the TAPR TNC's, but I'm determined to do this the hard way and build my own. Thanks in advance. Chris Moore -- Of course we have backup tapes. Do you want last year or the year before? Chris Moore (408) 749-4692 UUCP: {ucbvax,decwrl,ihnp4,allegra}!amdcad!amdimage!cmoore
