Could someone please tell me where I can find more information
on packet radio? I'd like to build up my own TNC, but I don't
know all the details of how information is exchanged. I have
found out (although I may be wrong) that the modulation is
Bell 202 (1200 bps 1200/2200 Hz), and that data is encoded using
NRZI in SDLC frames. (Am I right so far?) I also have a document
on level 2 AX.25 standard, but its 3 years old and I wonder about
it's accuracy. Any pointers to documentation or help with setting
up a station would be greatly appreciated. I have heard about
the TAPR TNC's, but I'm determined to do this the hard way and
build my own. Thanks in advance.

Of course we have backup tapes. Do you want last year or the
year before?

GADS, Chris!
Don't re-invent the wheel!... Do take advantage of the Kantronics TNC
sale!...
Built, debugged, ready to go.... $219... Just LOVE mine! Don't
wait!
I connected the Puppy to my HT and to a Commodore 64 (A cheep
{$50-used} VIC 20 will do) and CONNECT!
