Called the TAPR hot line this morning and received the following info:
they have shipped boards into the low 1100's (1104 on monday eve).
Hope to ship all remaining orders (up to 1200) this week. They will
NOT be selling further boards....GLB will be selling the kits.
FIXES (rev 2 boards)
A test on page 44 of the assembly manual:
the STA light will fail to go out. PLEASE install IC U-24 (the
second 8 K ram, 6264).
front panels will be missing from all kits with rev 2 boards, will
be shipped this week.
the board shipped is rev 2, the assembly manual erroneously makes
reference to rev. 3.

From: FAC0395%UOFT01.BITNET@WISCVM.ARPA (Joe Feustle) I saw a note last week to the effect that the TAPR Corp was no longer selling their TNC, and that all sales had been transfered to GDL (GBL, GLD?). Would someone please post full information? Xmas is on the way and I'd like to get my hands on a TNC by Easter. Thanks N8AAT

From: CRC.DlosLV@Xerox.ARPA I'd suggest the Kantronics TNC. It will do all the things a TAPR will at less cost and it's already built. I was up and running within an hour with mine. Detailed documentation is a problem however. You get only a simple users manual of what but no how. Chuck... W5USJ
