Appropriate garbage for the line-eater..... Pardon the posting to the net, but I have exhausted all my other known sources for this information. Perhaps the association with ARPANET will lead to success. I am in need of operations/maintenance manuals and schematics for an older Telonic sweep generator which I purchased on the surplus market a year ago. This generator was a commercial unit which was purchased by the USAF. The commercial designation was Telonic SPI-64 and the USAF designation was SG-599/DRA-6. It was made by Telonic when they were still in Beech Grove (now known for Wavetek). Telonic says that their records are sketchy for the days before the move to sunny California and that they have no information on the unit. One engineer claimed to have worked on it in his early days, however. USAF informed me that this model was removed from service about ten years ago and that they had never purchased enough of them to issue a Federal manual - the manuals supplied with the units were all that they ever purchased. I have checked with companies who deal in used test equipment, military manual suppliers, etc. with no luck. I would be very grateful to either buy or borrow a manual from anyone on the net. If either of these numbers rings a bell with you, however faint, please look through your bookcases, closets, storerooms or what have you to see if you might have the last remaining copy in existence. Restoring older pieces of test equipment for functional use is a hobby of mine (i.e. GR, HP, Tek, Collins, etc.) and this generator is too fine a piece to be relegated to the "junque heape." Thanks for your help. 73! Barry L. Ornitz WA4VZQ Eastman Chem. Div. Research Kingsport, TN 37662 Phone: Work 615/229-4904, Home 615/288-7803.
