I've been reading the Poli-Sci digest with growing disappointment. The impulse to be free people seems constricted into a narrow selfishness by so-called libertarianism. A recent (3 August) note by Keith Lynch about "Good English," arguing that minority dialects are good for gutter talk seems to reveal quite adequately the racism that's part of the value system here. I'm going to send in a request to be removed from the mailing list. Grow up, kids. -------
