My brother Charles some how ended up with the following:
2400 baud external modems made by Racal Vadic
model #Maxwell 2400 V
Hayes compatible (uses the AT command set)
9600 baud external modems made by Prentice
model #P-9629/2
**** Non-Hayes compatible ****
**** CCITT V.29 standard (not V.32!) ****
Some are new, others are slightly used. All are in good condition.
The 9600 baud modems comes complete with manuals and original packaging.
Some of the 2400 baud modems are missing manuals but they're packed in the
original packaging. Note that these Racal Vadic modems use the AT command
set so unless you really want to understad the internal workings of this
particular modem you really don't need a manual. And if you really want
a manual you can order it from Racall Vadic. BTW this message is being typed
from my home using the Racal Vadic 2400 baud modem, it works great :-) !
Make him an offer for either a single piece or for the lot
of 30+. Take them off of his hands please!!! No reasonable offer
refused. He really doesn't know what to do with them....
