I did so well on my last request that I thought I'd try again! I am trying to locate a comprehensive list of screen control characters and/or escape sequences for PCs (and compatibles). The IBM PC-DOS manual gives a few, e.g., absolute cursor addressing, clear to end of line, etc., but there have to be many more. Anyone have a reference? TIA, Chip

Anyone > have a reference? > > TIA, > > Chip If you are running ANSI.SYS on your system (as I assume from your comments) the you just want the specification for an ansii standard (don't know number) terminal or alternatively the manufacturer's user manual for a compatible terminal like a vt-100. Why do there have to be more???? Mind you, not every program that handles the screen uses control/escape sequences. If speed is needed (and when isn't it?) the screen is accessed via the ROM BIOS or the actual video hardware itself. -Rusty-
