Does anyone have experience in using GEM software with AT&T
pc 6300 with the mouse that plugs into the keyboard?

I have a PC6300 with 650K, one floppy and one 10M hard disk and
the AT&T Mouse.

Right now, all I have is GEM-Desktop and GEM-Draw.

When you initialize GEM for your system (either setting it up for
the hard disk or the floppy), it will ask you what kind of pointing
system you have. Tell it the Microsoft mouse. It will then ask you
if you REALLY have the Microsoft Mouse. Tell it yes.
The initialization program will then ask for the floppy that contains
the mouse driver (MOUSE.COM) and will install it in a known place.

It works just fine for me. The ONLY problem I've had is running
Unipress EMACS before running GEM. EMACS does something to the
system tables that makes GEM die in initialization. Re-booting
solves the problem. It's interesting to note that if you return
to DOS from withing GEM (the EXECUTE DOS COMMAND... menu selection)
and run EMACS, there are no problems.

Hope this helps...
