Does anyone know if the capability exists that lets you run PC/MS-DOS software on the Unix PC? Are there any plans to provide this capability? Thanks, Don Hopkins ...{decvax,ucbvax,ihnp4}!vax135!petsd!don Perkin-Elmer Data Systems Group 106 Apple Street Tinton Falls, New Jersey 07724 201-758-7268

The UNIX PC is a 68K-based machine, whereas PC/MS-DOS runs on Intel's 8086 processor family. The best you could hope for would be an interpreter, or possibly an add-on `co-processor'. From both a user and developer standpoint, I don't think either would be a useful answer.* * - This is my opinion, and may have nothing to do with anyone else's (including my management) opinions or facts. -- Marty Shannon UUCP: ihnp4!eagle!mjs Phone: +1 201 522 6063
