Does anyone know if the capability exists that lets you run
PC/MS-DOS software on the Unix PC? Are there any plans to
provide this capability?

The UNIX PC is a 68K-based machine, whereas PC/MS-DOS runs on Intel's 8086 processor family. The best you could hope for would be an interpreter, or possibly an add-on `co-processor'.
