[net.micro.att] Looking for a ATT4425 termcap/info

marco@orstcs.UUCP (marco) (07/24/85)

I'm looking for a termcap or terminfo for the ATT 4425 terminals
that came with our 3b2s. We are currently using a 4410 terminfo
as a substitute. Can anyone please contribute to my valient
cause?
Thank You

Here you go. Note that the Teletype 5425 and AT&T 4425 are the same terminal.
This is a terminfo description. The termcap I have is said not to work, but
since the terminal is upward compatible with the vt100, in a pinch you can
always claim you have a vt100.

The 4425 is *almost* identical to the 4415 (Teletype 5420), and
you can probably get away with termcap and terminfo for the 4415 until
something better comes along. As far as I know, there are only a few
minor differences between the terminals - primarily in character font
selection - which should not present a problem for simple uses like 'vi'.
You may wish to call the AT&T Hotline and see what they have to say.
I am glad to that *someone* has 4425's. We got sucked into buying
4415's - and it's nice to know that our 9-month old terminals are now MD-ed.
