[net.micro.att] Terminal Emulation UNIX PC 7300

putnam@noscvax.UUCP (Michael D. Putnam) (12/13/85)

While using the UNIX PC 7300 in terminal emulation mode to log on to
another UNIX computer I have noticed two problems, with the emulation
program, when using the vi editor (version 3.7) on the remote computer:

     1. When you type past the end of the screen the line is continued
on the second line below the first. Although it appears two
lines down it isn't, when the cursor is moved across the skipped
line the line continuation appears on that line.

     2. When deleting a line the line isn't erased until you redraw the
screen. If you don't redraw the screen the scroll doesn't work.

The first problem was cured by removing xn from the vt100 termcap.
Does anyone know of a cure for the second problem?
