On the subject of Taxan monitors: I started with a green monitor
on my 6300 -- euphoria. I then got an AT&T color monitor -- elation. I
sold that and got a Taxan 640 -- ecstasy. The only way I could think to
improve it is to make it 13" instead of 12", or semi-hang myself so the flow
of oxygen to my brain would be decreased while I sit in front of it. The
text modes feature is terrific (what a fun gimmic).

On the subject of 110v/220v for the 6300: There is a jumper in the
6300 power supply which when put in the alternate position converts the
whole machine to 220v. The jumper can be reached through the fan so there's
no need to remove the whole power supply to get at it. Since the green
monitor is DC it also works fine in Europe. The fan cover must be removed
to get through the fan, of course, and the power cable is different. A
separate AC converter would have to be used to use the color monitor on 220
and I'm not sure what 50Hz would do to the scan rate, etc.
