For reason unknown to me, the .kshrc file I posted a few days ago works only when FIRST sourced as your $ENV file. After that, you can edit it and source it again with . .kshrc. If you put a semicolon after _su in the function definition for su, this weirdness will go away. The function definition should look like this: su () { _su; } I'm sorry I didn't notice this before posting. Can anybody explain why sourcing a file during ENV processing should behave differently from manually sourcing it with the dot command? -- ******* Corey Satten; John Fluke Mfg.
