[net.micro.att] lp deadwood on UNIX pc

chute@hscfvax.UUCP (850154@M.Zalkalns) (03/25/86)

On my UNIX PC, 7300, Safarii IV:
I have recently gotton my parellel to work (via a mother board transplant).
Now I can use my line printer. I have noticed an accumulation of junk (about
1 meg so far) of almost every file I have printed (not all however). These
exist in /usr/spool/lp/request/Epson and are entitled d0-nnn or r-nnn where
nnn is the print queue number I guess.
Why are not these files deleted? Should I be doing this by hand? There
is no entry in the crontab file or in /etc/clean.wk that seems to take care
of this.
PS: Anybody got any good Tektronix emulators for the UNIX PC?
   Thanks for any hints.
Cheers,
