Has anybody seen the UNIX PC (7300) Technical Reference Manual? Does it include schematics? All AT&T could tell me about it is that they want $355 for it up front. After spending $150 for the rip-off Service Manual sight unseen, I'm not about to do that again. Any information at all, including heresay or rumors, would be greatly appreciated. Also, after installing the 3.0 upgrade, including utilities, my machine refuses to boot without a disk in the floppy drive. After power up, it prints "Searching floppy disk...", loads the head on the drive and stalls until a floppy without a loader area is inserted into the drive, then it goes onto the hard disk. My 2.0 software didn't exhibit this endearing trait, and the machine passes all diagnostics. I must have one of the earliest machines, as I purchased it 2 weeks after it was announced. The only modification is I trashed the SLOW 10MB Miniscribe hard disk / washing machine with for a 65ms 20MB Seagate half height. As an acceptable temporary fix, I simply leave a blank formatted disk in the floppy drive. Has anybody else seen this?
