[net.micro.att] re new machine rumors

I do not expect any new personal computers or workstations from AT&T
in the rest of this calendar year, and perhaps longer. I have more concrete
information than this, but I am bound by a non-disclosure agreement. AT&T
seems to be hoping that the 6300 family and the 3B family will be enough for
a while. Meanwhile several new machines are being explored. None are certain
that they will become products (this includes in-house and other developement).

What about the announcement in InformationWeek about the System-19 (a dual
68020 with 19" bitmap, 4.2bsd plus SYSV that AT&T should be OEM'ing soon)?
Maybe this is outside the current calendar year (who knows?) Or it is
thought not to compete in this arena (I suspect it does, seems to sit
smack in the middle of 3B1s, 3B2+DMD5620 kinda area.) Sounds like a
fine machine also.

All I'm saying is, I would take comments like the above with a grain
of salt, a big....
