I've been using VENIX SVR2 since October, 1985. By and large, I am real
happy with it; However, the following deficiencies may be bothersome:
	1) The object module format is not COFF, and doesn't have
	   FLEXNAMES (>8 character identifiers are unique). This is
	   a real problem if you would like to use some of the newer
	   software (like c++, etc).
	2) There is no large model compiler, just small and medium.
	   Again, a problem with some newer software.
	3) There is no support for the EGA. Text mode works OK, but
	   if you try to do graphics, you get a blank screen.
Still, a good package, and I believe the above things "are coming".
The compiler itself *is better* than XENIX's in generating small
model code.

Personally, I'm getting real interested in Microports version of UNIX,
and will probably load it up on my second disk to do a side by side
evaluation.
