[net.micro.att] USERFILE on Unix PC 7300

egray@fthood (08/12/86)

I'm having trouble with the /usr/lib/uucp/USERFILE on my AT&T Unix PC 7300
and I was wondering if anybody else was having the same problem.

Here's the story...
Suppose I have a line in USERFILE that looks like this:
	,system1 /

Then when 'system1' calls me, I get a HANDSHAKE FAILED message at system1
and nothing at all on the 7300. However if the uucp login on 'system1' is
uucp1 and I have a line in USERFILE like this:
	uucp1,system1 /

Then all goes well.

Here's the question...
Am I doing somthing wrong? Why should I have to specify the UID of the
uucp login from system1 in my USERFILE? Shouldn't the system name alone
suffice?
