I'm trying to get my grubby paws on technical documentation for the pc7300 (unix pc). I'm working on a port of the XINU operating system, and so need hardware info for device drivers, memory management, etc. AT&T has been almost no help; I don't see how they managed to get UNIX on the thing, since they don't seem to know what's in the box. If you can get me a copy of these documents, or know someone who can, please send me mail!!! I'll even pay for them, although I hope the above verbal lashing of AT&T will shame someone in that organization enough that they'll actually help me. sc --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Chapin | Chapin's Law of Motion: ARPA: sjc@mordred.cs.purdue.edu | You can get anywhere in 10 minutes UUCP: ...!purdue!sjc | if you drive fast enough. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

And did a very good job of it. After playing with a 3b2 I can see that Convergent Technologies was the saving grace for the 7300. -- Darryl Wagoner UniSecure Systems, Inc.; Newport, RI; (401)-849-6514 best path {allegra|gatech|mirror|raybed2} --\ next best {linus|ihnp4|pyrbos} --------------->!rayssd!unisec!dpw if all else fails {brunix|cci632} -------------------/

Such documentation is available to hardware and software vendors who meet AT&T's standards for making interesting things for the unix pc, under non-disclosure. From the sound of your requirement I doubt that you would qualify, although I can probably dig up the name of the person to contact if you would like it. Any disclosure of this information without such an agreement would be looked upon dimly by AT&T and would probably be followed by platoons of lawyers. I don't make these rules, you understand, I'm just parroting the company line for once. -- Jonathan Clark [NAC,attmail]!mtune!jhc My walk has become rather more silly lately.
