[net.micro.att] 6300: NEC V30 mutually excludes AT&T 2meg memory expansion

gmv@cblpe.UUCP (Mike Vrbanac) (10/10/86)

I run a NEC V30 cpu chip in an AT&T PC6300 and have discovered that the
AT&T 2meg Enhanced Memory Expansion Board will not work with this cpu.
Stick the 8086 back in and all is well. Symptoms: after MS-DOS boot messages
you get the 1st two lines of the "aemm.sys" device driver message
and then it hangs. Any insight into resolving this conflict between
my two favorite throughput-enhancers would be greatly appreciated!
