While I have always used AT&T XM modules to expand 3B2's in the past, I am now ready to consider going non-AT&T on some cost-sensitive projects. I know that some people have added their own harddisks to 3B2's, without AT&T's "blessing". I know that this is almost a trivial task. I would like to hear from anyone who has done this. Specifically, I would like to have vendor data on harddisks that are KNOWN to work okay. I would also like to know whether people made their own cables, or bought a replacement cable assy for an XM. And I would like to find out about any problems encountered. I already have a copy of "devtools", and am rarin' to go... ==> Larry Lippman @ Recognition Research Corp., Clarence, New York ==> UUCP: {allegra|decvax|rocksanne|rocksvax|watmath}!sunybcs!kitty!larry ==> VOICE: 716/688-1231 {hplabs|ihnp4|seismo|utzoo}!/ ==> FAX: 716/741-9635 {G1,G2,G3} "Have you hugged your cat today?"
