Just in case anyone out there is wondering - we've been running our hardwired terminals at 19,200 with no problem. 19,200 bps is EXTB to stty as distributed (I've modified stty to allow references to 19200). Using 19,200 also means that you can avoid changing switches on the multiplexor boards when you change a line from phone-line use (300/1200) to hardwired use. If you change your applications to BUFFER OUTPUT, you'll see massive speedups. (For example, I added buffered stdout to rn and the improvement is incredible.) Of course, it may depend on whether your terminals can handle it. We're using Esprit 10/102s (VT100 compatibles), on a 3220.
