I will spool all pe.* newsgroups and any other groups that you may desire, just poll and pick them up. Uuclean will delete them after 10 days or so otherwise the disk will fill up and bad things will happen... I wish to thank you for your responses and I will continue to work on a solution to the problem of Customer connections. I will be in New Jersey next week for a class. The first thing that comes to mind is we need three systems to cover North America: West, East and Canada. My guess would be petsd for East, ???? for Canada and pesnta for West. Suggestions are welcome. Anyone working on a uucp/mail/news package for OS/32? If so, remember that you should not use uucp unless you can design public domain pk0.c and pk1.c modules; to my knowledge, this is the only sticky legal part of uucp we have to fight, the rest is fairly easy -- just takes time. I don't think anyone is doing this port and it will be another couple months before I have the time to build anything like that. How about we skip uucp for OS/32 for the time being and get news/mail working using kermit? I think that we might be able to pull this off a lot sooner and get the OS/32 people online, then we can get uucp going. Comments? Again, let me repeat: news groups ARE being spooled and you can pick them up at any time and we are working on getting the network enlarged to all P-E users. Hang in there! -earlw
