I did not attend these shows because I was afraid of just this type of reaction.
Orange (read Raygun) county is really a foul place. I am surprised that the Dead
even play in Southern California at all after that SD fiasco where Bobby was
busted for intefering with Police violence.

I once had a DOOR MAN in SD take my one and only joint which he found in my
shirt pocket.  In the Bay Area, this would absolutly never happen.  I find
that the community down there in general is much less tolerent of "alternative"
life styles.  Social conscienceness, whats that???
