[net.music.gdead] Jerry on the banjo

cower@columbia.UUCP (Rich Cower) (04/18/85)

For those of you that don't have a copy of "Old and in the Way",
it available from Sugar Hill Records, P.O. Box 4040, Duke Station, N.C.
27706. The original pressing was done on Round Records. I don't know
the price but you should be able to order it from them.
Recorded live at the Boarding House in San Francisco on Oct. 8th, 1973
by none other than Mr. Stanley Owsley (The Bear) and Vickie Babcock.
Jerry does banjo and vocals, David Grissman on Mandolin and Vocals,
John Kahn (of the Jerry Garcia Band) is on string bass and Vassar
Clements is on violin.
If someone out there has ordered it and knows the price, please post
it. I'd like to get another copy.

Old and in the Way was re-released not too long ago--right around the first
of this year. It's available in the larger record stores around here.
