I know when I'm flying out to the Bay Area.... Some people say... There are rumors afloat in the Bay Area that two "hugh gnarly event" permits have been issued to the Dead for GG Park. One for June 5th (which my source indicates is probably the 7th or the 8th) and one for an undisclosed date in September. The rest of the story was that the freebie show(s) woud be announced only 3 days in advance to reduce the tendency of Dead Heads in Europe, Sri Lanka, and Egypt to join the thundering hordes migrating to SF from all across North and South America. From yet another source...(mark lotter) The rumor isn't quite accurate. The pink pages of the San Francisco Chronicle only mention that the band's 20th anniversary in on June 7th. There is nothing saying there will be a concert on that day. Things the article did say: Warner Bros is planning to release some old, previously unreleased live recordings for the anniversary. and there will be a two-part feature on the band on Entertainment Tonight, this week thursday and friday.
