This is the latest RUMOR I've heard on this subject. The park permit was denied. There is a Hight Street festival happening that weekend, and one of the Dead people is working on putting this festival on. The Dead and the old Airplane (being reassembled) will play two shows at the festival. See ya there (bring your D5)...rich

Well, I saw Jorma Kaukonen last night at the Cubby Bear Lounge in Chicago (a GREAT SHOW!), and according to someone who had spoken to Jorma's manager, Jack Casady, Grace Slick, and Paul Kantner will be playing together in SF at this festival, however, Jorma does not intend to play. As far as the Dead are concerned, the people that I spoke to hadn't heard anything about the Dead being included at this festival. (Though all had heard the GG Park rumor). WHAT TO DO?! I think I'm heading out to 'Frisco... hope it's not a wild goose chase... Jeff
