(only kidding) but how about Devo's rendition of "Are You Experienced"... :-) Seriously, I haven't heard of "The Smiths" around here, but "The The" has been on at least one station in the Boston area (WFNX 101.7). They had been playing "Uncertain Smile" and "This Is The Day" quite heavily when they were first released, and, upon occasion, I still here them. Most recently I've taken an interest in songs by the DB's, General Public. Breakfast In Bed, and The Eurogliders (sp?). I haven't bought any of the LP's or EP's, but am considering it. Anyone have any comments/suggestions on any of these? Does anybody have any info on Fred Schneider? If you have heard tracks from his album you would swear it was really the B-52's. I've heard they didn't split up, but rather this is just a "solo" attempt for Fred - doesn't really sound like much of solo to me - but I still like what I've heard. -barry -- Barry Evans - Wang Institute (617) 649-9731 x383 [apollo, bbncca, cadmus, decvax, harvard, linus, masscomp]!wivax!evans evans%Wang-Inst@Csnet-Relay
