[net.music.gdead] Red Rocks

cower@columbia.UUCP (Rich Cower) (04/26/85)

the promoters name is barry fey...

i've heard that if the dead do go back - they will have the last word
on EVERYTHING. i also hear the arrangements have been made - but i'll
wait until tickets start being issued before i believe it. i really like
red rocks - the colors are incredible, the sky is the biggest i've ever
seen and the people are great. the tapes we have from those shows have
the rain beating down on the umbrella and the best thunder (real speaker
eater stuff).

There was a question earlier about the Dead playing at Red Rocks
(Denver) this summer.

Last Sunday's "Denver Post" has an advertising section for Red Rocks
Summer Series. In it they say the following:

	GRATEFUL DEAD
	Septmeber 5, 6 & 7

Since it's Feyline, I'm not sure that settles the question :-) but
there it is.

Yeah that is who this Jerry guy is...

Incidentally I also have heard that there definitely
will be a show at the Rock this Sept.,

but I haven't heard when the tickets will go on sale
by mail order - this will probably be the best way for
non-Denver aera fans to get their tickets...

Contact the Dead Hotline (415) 457-6388 in SF for ticket info, probably
won't tell you anything for a couple of months before the shows at
the earliest. As of today, Feyline is still claiming that the shows
for Sept. 5,6,7 at the Rocks are still on. I'm certainly planning on
being there.
Of course, I plan to order a full compliment of tickets, even if I
don't have enough friends to fill the order, so you netters might
keep that in mind.... of course, no guarantees.
