I wholeheartedly agree with the 'brent supporters.' Those of you who feel that he is too pop-like, or that the other members aren't into his music... try to listen differently! one of the great aspects of the GD is their constant evolution. compare your evaluation of brent to getting to know new GD songs. there is something special and unique about brent. and -- he adds a WONDERFUL heartfelt solid get-down blues aspect to the band that no one else does. bob weir can also be accused of being too pop, but he also adds his magical element to the GD cauldron. brent not only adds sometimes perfect 'icing on the cake' piano and blues touches to existing songs, but also does contribute a VERY SOLID blues element. one suggestion -- try more acoustic! -- 'sometimes the songs that you hear are just songs of your own..'
