First set was cut short by equipment hassles, sot the total music time came to only 2 1/2 hrs, kind of short change by dead standards. The performance was hot, though. And you could not have asked for a more idyllic setting. Lovely small alpine valley, warm sunny afternoon. "Turn On Your Lovelight" was back again, and I'm still a fan of "China Cat Sunflower". Boreal, being a ski resort, didn't have near the ability to handle the sheer number of people on the freeway exits and parking. If this had been any other band's audience, the chaos could have turned ugly. It didn't though. The most scary thing turned out to be some yoyos who climbed up the ski lift towers, and even went hand-over-hand out the cables to sit in the lift chairs!
