I've had this list of lyrics for over a year now (thanks, Larry) and some friends and I have noticed some things which we thought were a bit off. Unfortunately, I've just moved and have lost a lot of my paper stuff. If there is sufficient interest, though, how about if we post updates to the lyrics here as well? There have already been some posted; thanks. I'll post what I can find from my "private reserve". It's really good to see a news.group just for DeadHeads! Feels more like home every day. Keep on smilin! -- jad -- UUCP: ihnp4!hpfcla!jad ARPA: terrapin@purdue "It takes dynamite to get me up too much of everything is just enough one more thing I just got to say I need a miracle every day"

Doesn't it seem odd that a free show would be announced so far in advance? Also, of all the places to play: Golden Gate Park? Didn't somebody just get busted there? (~);-} I don't know what to think. There are always rumors. Anyway, I need to ask y'all a big favor. I'm off this net on June 21. I *oh so badly* need to know when Red Rocks (Yahoooooo) tickets go on sale (or can be mailed for). Could someone drop a postcard in the mail when the hear the tickets are out? Thank you endlessly (whomever respondes). -My address is: jo(sepi) macdougald 11 peterborough st #3 boston, ma 02115 Thankyouythankyouthankyou. ....Comes a time, when the blind man takes your hand, says: "don't you see? you gotta make it somehow, on the dreams you still believe. I guess it is a free world but can't we get away from him anywhere we go? Freedom and peace to net.music.gdead! -- jad -- What good is spilling blood? It was bad enough reading it the first time, not to mention reading your posting. Let's leave this behind. I know it's a free net, but let's not abuse it here, OK? Thank you very much. -- jad -- "Daddy made whiskey and he made it well Cost two dollars and burned like hell I cut hickory just to fire the still Drink down a bottle and be ready to kill."

I must have missed the original; this looks like a reply. There's a station here in Fort Collins (KTCL) which plays the Dead a lot more than any other [commercial] station I've ever heard. They don't do a lot of sets, but they do mix the Dead in with the rest of their [good] selection, which is really a pleasant feeling! If you're in the area, give 93.3 a listen, they're on your FM dial. -- jad -- hpfcla!jad terrapin@Purdue.EDU

Here is an address for The Rainbow Family.I'm not sure if it is a permanent address, or just the one they used for last years gathering. Did anyone happen to attend the 76 gathering in Montana? That was the only one I attended and it was quite the experience! Driving out in a converted school bus having a great time, picking up fellow travelers on the road, meeting all kinds of folks, shocking the upsatanding towns- people, hordes of hippies descending on Choteau,Montana, arriving in the mountains finally at our destination, setting up camp, total community feeling, shared experiences, everyone taking care of each othr Hare Krishnas feeding hungry people, no chemicals allowed, mother earth highs only.In short, it was incredible.I hope to go again if I can break out of this workday scene!!!!!!!! A more permanent address is (I believe) : Rainbow Family Box 5577 Try sending a SASE and asking for info. Eugene OR 97405 This years gathering is rumored to be in Pennsylvania, on (as always) July 1-7. Rainbow Gatherings are amazing: full of good heart and spirit. Hundreds and thousands of people getting together to share. Kid Village, sweat lodges, sprout garden, dancing and percussion jams, hugs, storytelling . . . Words such as energy and vibes take on real meaning. Peace and love, it really works.
