I seem to recall hearing, or reading, somewhere sometime, maby around
the Berkeley Community Theater Benefit shows when Merl Played with them, that
the Dead were going to do 17 or 21 excerpts for the show. It led me to
believe that the music was going to be canned in the sense that they would
have standerd backround music for all shows. Guess it didn't work out that
way. It worked out better.
The fog machine just busted and I'm begining to recall where I read
this. It was Golden Road Magazine. If you guys don't have a subscription
to it you better send them your ten bucks now. Its a magazine devoted only
to the Dead and seems to have the best information and current rumors
around. Its owned, basicaly written and operated by Blair Jackson an Regan
________. Some of its funny as shit too. Strongly reccomend a subscription.
The last thing I'd like to say is I think some or all of the boys
should be in an episode of the twlight zone, hell straight people should
know what its like. I think there should be one major difference between
other stories and theirs. Shit happens to them but they groove on it and
ultimately master it because after all they are the masters of the zone.
