If anyone has been watching the new Twilight Zone shows on friday nights you may have noticed in the ending credits that the music was provided by none other than the Grateful Dead!!!!Listen for the ending guitar notes at the end of the show.It sounds particularly Jerry-ish!!!! After all, he is a master of all things surreal and outer space-type sounds!!!!!!!!! Turn on and Tune in next friday! Adrienne a Deadhead in drafting

Well, I got to see the new Twilight Zone last night after missing the premier last week. I thought it was extremely well-done, but I guess that's to be expected of a project that involves the GD. I was afraid that the stories for this series would be watered-down and disappointing like the ones in the movie, but that fear has been wiped out. The stories were at least of the same caliber of the old Twilight Zone. The music wasn't all that noticeable, but if you were listening for it, it was really excellent. Some of it was not at all what you'd expect the Dead to sound like, which, if you think about it, is just what you'd expect! Back when I first heard that the Dead were getting involved with this show, I began to wonder if the Dead could indeed finally be involved with something that is a commercial success with a wide audience. After seeing the show, I've still got to wonder. I really enjoyed it, but I have a feeling that it's just too weird for the general public. It could very well generate a large enough cult following to keep it on the air, but that audience already knows about the Dead. I'm not complaining; it's already hard enough to get tickets! -- "We used to play for silver, now we play for life" Seth Jackson

I made a point of checking the credits for the Twilight Zone this week, and it definitely said "Music by The Grateful Dead and Merle Saunders." That seemed to imply to me that the Dead did, in fact, do all the music for the show. By the way, I thought that this weeks episode about Cupid was extremely dumb. This is in sharp contrast to what I thought about the show the other time I watched it. It figures - I got my family to watch it with me this time...oh, well. Did anyone else feel this way about it? -- "Things are gonna get stranger..." Seth Jackson
