(Much as I hate to do this, I've got to post this to the wrong newsgroup, so as to reach the right people.) I've received an astounding number of messages of the form "how can I get the Maryland Window Library" (to run the two adventures I posted). Well, if you are one of the fortunate DARPA Internet sites, you can use anonymous FTP to maryland.ARPA to get the file "mw.tar". If not, you can try to get a copy from a neighbor UUCP site that archives net.sources: I posted a 4.1BSD version of the library around the end of 1983, I think. I do not want to repost the entire source. (mw.tar is 348K.) If you can't get it anywhere else, you can always order the University of Maryland Software Distribution tape (for 4.1 or 4.2BSD). Send mail to Diane Miller Department of Computer Science University of Maryland College Park MD 20742 USA for details about the distribution tapes. Please note that the Maryland Window Library cannot be used in commercial software without making arrangements with the University of Maryland. Finally, I don't know of anyone who has converted the library to System III or System V Unix. Anyway, for this particular program you could use Mark Horton's curses/terminfo (which hacks line I/D). -- In-Real-Life: Chris Torek, Univ of MD Comp Sci Dept (+1 301 454 4251) UUCP: seismo!umcp-cs!chris CSNet: chris@umcp-cs ARPA: chris@maryland
