I too encountered a segmentation violation upon winning a game of Larn. I crossed the threshold with the potion, listened to the doctor tell me about everyone's former lack of confidence, saw the revised score sheet come up, followed finally by the familiar pithy Unix message. Unlike the other poor unfortunate, my score was posted. However, I didn't get any opportunity to pay taxes, so subsequent games were a bit hazardous until they were finally paid. Also, games now start out with ZERO INVENTORY, which seems a bit unfair. Further, I didn't see any of the mail messages from jealous, congratulatory, and mercenary sources, which the existence of the .mail*** files led me to expect. I assume that tax paying and fan mail would have come after the segmentation violation (yes, I have religiously avoided ANY perusal of the sources). This was on a Sun-2/120 running "4.2bsd", which Sun prefers to call their version 2.2. -- Tom Anderson John Fluke Mfg. Co., Inc. P.O.
