After many delays I am finally back to work on converting
larn to using termcap. A couple of people have expressed
interest in converting it to curses and one person said he
was actually doing it. The reason I chose termcap instead
of curses is that curses will not take advantage of scrolling
regions even if they are defined for the terminal.
The reason I am sending out this message right now is to take
a little survey. I know that a lot of terminals do not have
scrolling regions and I have reworked the program so that it
does not depend on them. The question is: how many people out
there have terminals that do not have insert line and delete
line capabilities? If you have such a terminal and want to be
able to use larn, please send me mail indicating what kind of
terminal you have. If you are not sure, check the termcap
file to see if the 'al' and 'dl' capabilities are defined.
