Does anybody have the executable for Moria 4.8 (or any vers for that matter)...I have all the source code, but the compiler dumps me half way thru, and I need the executable to play the game (quota not a problem...) If somebody could set it up so I could ftp it from a remote machine itd be great... Brian McNeill za56@sdcc3.ucsd.edu

I have the binary and the source for moria 4.8 available for FTP from argon (128.109.139.64). The login should be account anonymous and THE PASSWORD SHOULD ALSO BE "ANONYMOUS" since I can't figure out how to allow ftp to access an account without a password. (Anybody know how to do this with an Execlan board on a MicroVMS machine?) When you get logged in, CD to LOCAL:[games.moria_480]. I don't know how cleanly the binary will transfer but you can try it. -- Random (Randy Buckland) Research Triangle Institute ...!mcnc!rti-sel!rcb

The network and node specified by 128.109.139.64 seems to be unreachable from here (we only have arpanet access, I believe) so unfortunately I haven't been able to retrieve the code... has anybody else had more sucess, and if so, could that someone have the binaries posted in a FTP account thats reachable by the ARPAnet? This sounds like a great game, but all I can do now is scan the help files and the sources (Ive even begun considering porting the whole thing to UNIX, but imagine the work involved in converting the VMS pascal to something runnable under UNIX...yeccch!) Thanx, (may the Balrog eat cold iron soon at this node!) Brian McNeill za56@sdcc3.ucsd.edu

I will talk to the system manager here at Haverford to see if we can provide a Moria executable image. Walt

We just got on to USEnet, and the game Moria seems very interesting. Can someone send me a copy of source for Ultrix system. Chinson

(Im sure that when it does, it will be on the net FAST!) As its a great game, if you have access to VMS, the sources are available from two places I know of: jade.berkeley.edu (anonymous) tcgould.tn.cornell.edu (anonymous) /---------------------------------------------\ | Brian McNeill za56@sdcc3.ucsd.edu | | ...!sdcsvax!sdcc6!sdcc3!za56 | \---------------------------------------------/
