I was listening to the local NPR affiliate (KQED-FM, 88.5 MHz, San Francisco) last night, when I heard an interesting show. It's called _Music from the Hearts of Space_, and it features nothing but electronic music. Last night's show, for example, featured Vangelis' _Antarctica_ soundtrack and Eno's music for an _Apollo_ documentary. Really interesting when heard through the new Sony headphones while walking in the Berkeley Hills. Anyways, the show is carried on NPR, so if you're interested in space music, call your local NPR affiliate and ask about the show. (For bay area listeners, the time is 7-8pm on sunday evenings). --Nick Cuccia --cuccia%ucbmiro@Berkeley --...!ucbvax!cuccia

It's good music for listening to before going to sleep or while trying to sleep, at least for me. Of course, I also like to listen to Mozart's Requiem before sleeping.. Britten's _War Requiem_ is what really gives me the willies before sleeping. --Nick Cuccia --cuccia%ucbmiro@Berkeley --{...}!ucbvax!cuccia

Britten's _War Requiem_ is a subdued piece that can be unbelievably moving when you're in "one of those moods". Extremely highly recommended. Eugene Fiume ...!utcsri!elf
