I'm posting this for Andy Voelkel (sdcarl!andy) who doesn't quite have a full connection yet: I just wanted to say that we have two drivers for the mpu that are available. One is standalone and one is for unix. It's also worth mentioning to the folks out there that the choice is between wading through the documentation or having to write code to do all the mpu does, which isn't trivial (I'd rather hook up a mpu to a mac than raw midi, even though i can't. (sdcarl is reachable from Berkeley)
