<--------------@@@@@@@@@@-----------------==========---> I am in the market for a portable amplifier for a guitar. I have one at the moment that I really like but there is a serious flaw with it (for me, anyway). It's called the Mouse amplifier by Lectro-something-or- other. It's very rugged, portable, has distortion capabilities, and a rechargeable battery unit. Very loud for its size. A lot of street musicians in NYC use this for keyboards, guitars, vocals, etc. The only problem for me is that you have to keep the battery charged at all times. (@ once every 2 weeks). If you don't, the entire battery unit has to be replaced. This has happened twice to me and Lectro-?? has confirmed this problem. Since I don't play the guitar that much anymore (only once a month sometimes) I can't seem to remember to charge the amp every two weeks. I also have reservations about leaving it plugged in constantly (the ac-dc converter gets pretty hot). Does anyone know of a similar amp with similar features but without the "2 weeks to live" battery unit syndrome. I wouldn't mind removable batteries even if they dont last that long. If I get enough responses, I will post a summary to the net. Thanks, Peter Meng $$$$$$$$$$$$$$----)))))))--((((((((((---!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
